Alice M. Britsch

   CLOVERDALE – Alice M. Britsch, 95 of Cloverdale died at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born November 24, 1924 in Putnam County to the late George and Mary Ann (Quinn) Schulte. On June 3, 1947 she married Clayton Britsch who passed away December 24, 1995.

    She is survived 6 children, Tim (Teri) Britsch of Dupont, Dan (Ginny) Britsch of Columbus Grove, Tony Britsch of Continental, Barb (Doug) Verhoff of Kalida, Linda (Randy) Coble of Continental, and Betty (Ken) Kosch of Kalida; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Britsch of Kalida; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a son-in-law, Bob Herr of Melrose; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Schulte of Ottawa.

    She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Herr; 2 sons, Christopher and Michael Britsch; a grandson, Pat Britsch; a great-grandson, Tripp Foor; and her siblings, Kenneth Schulte, Elmer (Betty) Schulte, Virginia (Ed) Potthoff, Mildred (Ike) Hoersten, and Agolda (Maynard) Coressel.

   Alice was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Cloverdale, its Altar Rosary Society and the Cloverdale Garden Club. Alice enjoyed playing Bingo, Words With Friends, Scrabble, crocheting and knitting. She loved bird watching and being able to identify the birds, but she especially loved her family.

   Due to the regulations regarding the COVID 19, a private funeral mass will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2020 at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Cloverdale with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. Per the family’s request, please wear a mask.

   The family would like to thank the Leipsic Meadows and Putnam County Hospice for their loving care of our Dear Alice.
