Arnold Siebeneck

 KALIDA - Arnold Siebeneck, 72, of Kalida died at 10:14 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 14, 1946 in Lima to the late Norbert and Eleanor (Verhoff) Siebeneck. On June 22, 1968 he married Rose Vorst and they celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary earlier this year amongst friends and family. Rose survives in Kalida.

   Also surviving are six children, Dale (Julie) Siebeneck, Lisa (Greg) Siefker, Karen (Chris) Fortman, and Randy (Jessica) Siebeneck all of Kalida, Rhonda Heuss of Columbus, and Crystal Siebeneck of Kalida; 19 grandchildren, Taylor Siefker, Jenna Siefker, Tyson Siefker, Trent Siebeneck, Kierstan Siebeneck, Kathryn Siebeneck, Justin Siebeneck, Jacob Siebeneck, Nicole Siebeneck, Sydnie Siebeneck, Savanna Siebeneck, Carsen Siebeneck, Kyla Fortman, Kenzie Fortman, Grant Fortman, Madison Newhouse, Jocelyn Newhouse, Kamden Siebeneck, and Keegan Siebeneck; three brothers, James (Rita) Siebeneck, Alfred (Janice) Siebeneck, and Norbert (Marlene) Siebeneck all of Kalida; and two sisters, Joyce (Gene) Wurth of Kalida and Dolores Wagner of Miller City. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeff Siebeneck, his brother, Tom Siebeneck, and a son-in-law, Alan Heuss.

   Arnold retired from Ford after 35years and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida where he was a member and past president of the Holy Name Society. He was a life member of the Kalida Knights of Columbus, a member of Ottawa Eagles, and a social member of the Ottawa VFW. Arnold was a member of the Ohio Polka Boosters and loved Mollie B. and Squeezebox.

   Arnold was known as a generous man and an active supporter for any one in need. He had a strong love of faith, family, farming, and food. His family and friends will miss him dearly as he was full of fun and comfort to all.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be a K of C Rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or to CAP (cancer assistance program).
