Betty L. Richardson
OTTAWA - Betty L. Richardson, 85 of Ottawa died 12:54 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born July 1, 1936 in Lima to the late Cyril and Lucille (Ellerbrock) Kuhlman. On August 3, 1955, she married Alvin A. Maag. He died July 8, 1989. She then married James Richardson on October 9, 1993 and he survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include three children: Brenda (Greg) Brinkman of Miller City, Randolph (Roberta) Maag of Miller City and Daryl G. (Marlene K.) Maag of Ottawa; three step-children: Teresa (Dave) Thitoff of Delphos, Byron (Ginny) Richardson of Columbus and Dave (Sharon) Richardson of New Bremen; 11 grandchildren: Heather Maag, Andrew Maag, Tyler Maag, Cory Deal, Todd Maag, Jeremy Maag, Alaina Siefker, Aaron Brinkman, Jarrod Brinkman, Danielle Niese and Rochelle Brinkman; 9 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren; four siblings: Joe (Helen) Kuhlman of Miller City, Angie (Bob) Ricker of Delphos, Bill (Jane) Kuhlman of New Cleveland and Deb (Dennis) Lammers of Glandorf and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Rieman of Glandorf and Nancy Kuhlman of Fort Jennings.
She was also preceded in death by five siblings: Norma (Ray) Meyer, Virginia (Donald "Duke") Lanwehr, Leroy Kuhlman, Janet (John) Repko and Earl Kuhlman.
Betty was a school bus driver for 26 plus years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the New Cleveland Catholic Ladies of Columbia #125.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, New Cleveland. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A CL of C rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m. and scripture service at 7:50 p.m. both Monday evening at the funeral home.
