Beulah June Cook
ARIZONA - Beulah June “Boots” Cook, 84, passed away at 8:46 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by family. She was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on March 15, 1937 to the late Marie and Robert Wiseman.
June is survived by four children: Rick (Sue) Bice of Ottawa, Deborah Lee of AZ, Robin Warren of AZ, Russell “Buzz” (Laura) Cook of MS; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike West; and a sister-in-law, Denise West of Toledo.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean.
June graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1956. She lived and worked in Lima, Ohio for a few years. When she moved to Ottawa, she worked at the Employment Office. Later, she worked at Phillip’s of Ottawa, in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Ottawa for many years. She sang in the choir and enjoyed the fellowship of her church family. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion auxiliaries of Ottawa. She thoroughly enjoyed performing as a clown in parades, at birthday parties and other celebrations. She always made people around her smile. June was loved by all and she will be missed.
A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Katie Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church of Ottawa or a charity of the donor's choice.
