Carol J. Erhart

  KALIDA – Carol J. Erhart, 66, of Kalida, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 2, 1957, in Lima to Bernard and Norma (Schroeder) Erhart.  Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Kalida.

  Other survivors include four siblings: Linda Erhart, Mike (Nancy) Erhart, Joyce (Randy) Fuerst and Brian (Jenni) Erhart; seven nieces and nephews; and two great nieces and nephews.

  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Erhart.

  Carol was a 1975 graduate of Kalida High School, 1981 graduate of Apollo School of Practical Nursing and 1987 graduate of Lima Technical College, earning her associate’s degree in nursing. She formerly worked for St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima as a registered nurse from 1978 to 2000.  Carol was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida. She loved to travel and listen to the Oak Ridge Boys.

  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Nathan Bockrath officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday at the church.
