Charles Richard Miley

   OTTAWA - Charles Richard "Dick" Miley, age 88, of Ottawa passed peacefully on November 15, 2018 under the watchful care of Capital City Hospice.

   Dick was born in Leipsic, OH on September 17, 1930 to Floyd R. and Frona M. (Sager) Miley. He married Evelyn F. Meyer and they recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. A lifelong resident of Putnam County, he was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, The Ohio Power Veterans Association, and the Ottawa Eagles. He made a career working for the Ohio Power Company (AEP) where, after 41 years, he retired as an engineering planner. Together he and Evelyn built many homes and apartments in Ottawa, OH, along with a generation spanning Farm Holding Company. Dick enjoyed long drives in the countryside with Evelyn scouting for farmland.

   Dick is survived by his wife, Evelyn and sons, Robert D. Miley (Teresa), Springboro, OH,  Richard L. Miley (Cathy) Columbus, OH and Mark J. Miley (Marsha) , Upper Arlington, OH. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Marisa (Ryan) Brown, Mitch (Libby) Miley, Taylor Miley, Turner Miley, and Tanner Miley as well as four great-grandchildren, Kellen, Nolan, Preston, and Nora.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul C. Miley.

   A private service will be held at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with burial at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Columbus Grove, OH.
