Cheryl A. Brinkman
OTTAWA – Cheryl A. Brinkman, 60, of Ottawa, died Friday, April 15, 2022, at Cleveland Clinic. She was born July 28, 1961, in Lima to the late Paul and Lydia (Warkentin) Mershman. On March 22, 2002, she married Jim Brinkman and he survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include two children: Angela (David) Chamberlin of Pandora and James Siefer of Ottawa; two stepchildren: Stephanie (Steve) Carlson of McComb and Chad Brinkman of Miller City; two granddaughters: Makayla and Elizabeth Chamberlin; four step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Tim (Laurie) Mershman of Ottawa, Don (Chris) Mershman of Topeka, IN and Larry (Dianne) Mershman of Bowling Green.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her sister, Chris (Jeff) Wagner.
Cheryl worked at the Car-e-it, Pike Run Golf Course and previously worked at the VFW and Phillips. She was an avid golfer and loved to read and bowl. She was always willing to volunteer and helped with several Veterans groups. Cheryl had a heart of gold and was a wonderful cook.
Funeral mass will begin 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
