Connie M. Rump
MILLER CITY - Connie M. Rump, 81 of Miller City, died 9:25 a.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 7, 1939 in Lima to the late Neil and Marguerite (Parker) Allspach. On May 17, 1958 she married Donald Rump and he survives in Miller City.
Other survivors include six children: Chris (Connie) Rump, Lynn (Wayne) Pester both of Miller City, Dr. Anthony (Elaine) Rump of Ottawa, Sue (Randy) Wenzinger of Miller City, Dean Rump of Powell and Jodie (Mark) Lammers of Miller City; twenty grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Flo Wagner of Miller City; in-laws: Ruth Selhorst Rieman of Leipsic, Jim (Sharon) Rump of Ottawa and Norma Riepenhoff of Miller City; and her dog, Dottie.
She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Herb Wagner; father and mother in-law, Cyril and Anna Rump; and in-laws: Virgil and Mary Rump, Len and Eileen Riepenhoff, Bill Selhorst and Carl Rieman.
Connie retired as bus driver for Miller City-New Cleveland Local School District. She was also a teacher's aide at Miller City School. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and its Altar Rosary Society. Connie enjoyed Thursday Morning Breakfast Club and was an avid Miller City Wildcat, Detroit Tigers and OSU Buckeye fan. She was very proud of the fact that both she and her husband, all of their children and grandchildren graduated from Miller City High School.
Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service at 7:50 p.m., as well at one hour prior to the mass on Wednesday at the church.
