Craig J. Vorst
GLANDORF – Craig Joseph Vorst, 40, of Glandorf, passed away at 6:17 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Mercy Health Putnam Medical Center, Glandorf. He was born April 18, 1982, in Lima to Dennis and Norma (Buss) Vorst, both survive in Kalida. On November 12, 2005, he married his best friend and love of his life, Sheila Tobe, she survives in Glandorf.
Craig is also survived by four children: Carter, Ella, Maya, and Reid Vorst, all at home; a sister: Natalie Vorst of Toledo; mother-in-law: Marianne Tobe; three brothers-in-law: Josh (Adrienne) Tobe, Jason (Kelly) Tobe, and Nathan (Nicole) Tobe; four sisters-in-law: Jamie (Brad) Duncan, Shannon (Josh) Hadding, Nichole (Brian) Spears, and Carissa (Uriah) Burke; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother: Jeff Vorst; maternal grandparents: Joe and Mildred Buss; paternal grandparents: Harold and Millie Vorst; and father-in-law: Elmer Tobe.
Craig was a graduate of Kalida High School and BGSU. He worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. He was also a member of the Local UAW. Craig loved coaching his kid’s soccer and basketball teams. You could always count on him to help family and friends with their projects. Craig was an artist, he enjoyed drawing and building Lego creations with his kids. He loved spending time at the lake and vacationing with his family and friends.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Father Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
