  OTTAWA – Damian Carrillo, 51, of Ottawa, died Thursday, January 26, 2023.  He was born August 15, 1971 in Chamacuaro GTO Mexico to Antonio Carrillo Montalvo and Maria Auxcilio Carrillo Ruiz.  His father is deceased and his mother survives in Hamler. On November 27, 1993, he married Nakia Scarberry, who survives in Ottawa.

  Damian is also survived by two children: Angelica Carrillo of Cairo and Antonio (Sydney Schroeder) Carrillo of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Amirah Glenn, Azariah Fox, Lux Carrillo and Remi Carrillo; four sisters: Rosa Carrillo Carrillo of Mexico, M.A. Guadalupe Carrillo Carrillo of Mexico, Martha Carrillo Carrillo of Chicago, Chriselda Carrillo Carrillo of Florida; and four brothers: Antonio Carrillo Carrillo of Georgia, Jesus Carrillo Carrillo of Ohio, Adrian Carrillo Carrillo of Mexico and Martin Carrillo Carrillo of Ohio.

  In addition to his father, Damian is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Macaria Ruiz and Hinio Carrillo; paternal grandparents: Jesusa “Chucha” Carrillo Carrillo and Jesus Carrillo Carrillo; one sister: Margarita Carrillo Carrillo; and two brothers: Juan M. Carrillo Carrillo and Martin “El Tigere” Carrillo Carrillo.

  Damian worked for SumiRoki in Bluffton, where he was a forklift operator. He loved fishing, arrowhead hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

  Funeral services will begin 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Deacon Ben Valdez officiating.  Visitation will be from 2 – 6 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
