Darlene E. Langhals
CLOVERDALE - Darlene E. Langhals, 72, of Cloverdale, died 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born May 12, 1949 in Ottawa to the late Orville H. and Esther K. (Michel) Dickman. On April 19, 1975, she married Paul A. Langhals, who survives in Cloverdale.
Darlene is also survived by 3 children: Steven C. (Melissa) Langhals of Ottoville, Sarah L. Langhals of Austin, TX and Amy M. Langhals of Lima; 3 grandchildren: Emmerson, Leigha and McKenna Langhals; 4 sisters: Cynthia S. Altman of Findlay, Diane J. Bishop of Ottawa, Deb K. Dunnigan of Columbus Grove and Marcia L. (Larry) Klima of Pandora; 2 brothers: Dennis I. (Maribeth) Dickman of Van Wert and Byron E. (Ellen) Dickman of Germany; and 2 sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Art) Niese of Leipsic and Joan (Virgil) Hageman of Glandorf.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Orville H. Dickman, Jr., David M. Dickman and Glenn Dickman.
Darlene retired from Schnipke Engraving, Ottoville and formerly worked at Phillips ECG, Ottawa. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale. Darlene loved playing poker with her siblings and lived to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a fierce and strong wife and mother, adored her grandkids and was a devoted and much loved sister.
Her funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Father Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
