   SUMMERFIELD, FL – David Paul Peoples, 82, of Summerfield, FL died 8:51 a.m. Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Villages Hospital, Lady Lake, FL.  He was born June 8, 1938 in Butler, OH to the late Maxwell Beck and Bernice (Miller) Peoples.  On May 6, 1967 he married Susan Diane Helbert, who survives in Summerfield, FL.

   David is also survived by 2 daughters:  Jodi Lynn (Phillip) Hubert of Casper, WY and Shauna Raquel (Matthew) Pier of Damascus, MD; 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers:  Richard Peoples of Melbourne, FL, Robert Peoples of Oro Valley, AZ and Roger Peoples of Clarksville, TN and a sister:  Margaret Peoples Mattern of Leipsic.

   He was preceded in death by his golden retriever, Sarge, who was his constant companion for 13 years.

   David was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in California, Azores Islands, Georgia, Ohio, Guam and Wyoming.  Growing up in Ohio, he and his wife returned to Ohio before moving to Florida 7 years ago.  He loved his family and loved his country.

   David's memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021 at First Christian Church 120 S. Poplar Street, Leipsic.  Graveside service with military rites will follow at approximately 3:30 p.m. in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.
