Deloris M. Palte
MILLER CITY - Deloris M. Palte, 83, of Miller City died 8:33 a.m., Sunday, December 5, 2021 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1938 in Miller City to the late Alphonse "Pete" and Evelyn (Thomas) Warnimont. On September 27, 1958, she married Donald F. Palte and he survives in Miller City.
Other survivors include five children: Stephen Palte of Glandorf, Douglas (Deb Yant) Palte of Miller City, Gregory (Chris) Palte of California, Michael (Arin Zahler) Palte of Miller City and Michele "Sis" (Jeff) Newman of Dublin; ten grandchildren: Amy (Doug Hoffman) Palte, Jacob Palte, Joseph (Sahra) Palte, Stacey (Eliot) Johnson, Sean (Lorisa) Stevens, Justin Palte, Joshua Palte, Jessica Palte, Stephen Newman and Peterson Newman; seven great-grandchildren and two on the way; and three siblings: Alvera Cass, Linda Melia (Zed) Lindeman and Diana Keesler all of Miller City.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel "Boone" Palte; three siblings: Doyle Warnimont, Marvin (Linda) Warnimont and Allen Warnimont; and two brothers-in-law: Ed Cass and Michael Keesler.
Deloris was a homemaker and helped to manage the family farm or Palte Petting Zoo as it was known throughout the neighborhood. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and its Altar Rosary Society, Holy Family Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Miller City Fireman's Auxiliary, Miller City Athletic Boosters, the AWRA and was an avid swim dog race fan. Deloris was instrumental in helping to establish the Miller City Little League Baseball program. She was also a cub scout den mother.
Funeral services will be private due to Covid 19 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow the church cemetery.
