Dennis L. Horstman
GLANDORF – Dennis L. Horstman, 67, of Glandorf, passed away at 9:25 a.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born December 28, 1954 in Lima to the late Alfred and Leona (Roof) Horstman. On September 12, 1992, he married Tricia Kirkendall, who survives in Glandorf.
Other survivors include two children: Abby (Bob) Maas of Glandorf and Lucas Horstman of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Garrett, Logan, Caitlyn and Griffin; four brothers: John (Shirley) Horstman of Continental, Steve (Ginny) Horstman of Cloverdale, Gary (Angie) Horstman of Kalida and Dale (Carolyn) Horstman of Cloverdale; and two sisters-in-law: Sandy Horstman of Ottawa and Debi Horstman of Lewis Center.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Al Horstman and Phil Horstman.
Dennis was employed by Philips Display Components, Ottawa, where he worked as a millwright. He had also worked for Metokote, Lima. Dennis was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, Pike Run Golf Club, Ottawa and Leipsic Eagles. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, The Ohio State Buckeyes and Ottawa-Glandorf Titans. He loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events, golf and hang out at The Bombshelter with family and friends. Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Father Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2022 with a scripture service beginning at 1:45 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the Mass at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
