Donald J. Stover
OTTAWA - Donald J. Stover, 70, of Ottawa, died 5:04 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born November 18, 1950 in Lima to the late James Stover and Rosemary (Roof) Stover Crow. His stepfather Dwight Crow is also deceased. On August 18, 1973, he married Marlene Chamberlin. She survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include four children: Donald (Silvia) Stover of Ottawa, Scott Stover of Lima, Tish Stover and Brooklynn Cole, both of Ottawa; three grandchildren: Adam Inbody, Blake Stover and Kordell (Paige Klass) Stover; two great-grandchildren: Aurora Inbody and Indie Stover; and a brother: John (Sue) Stover of Clearwater, FL.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jim Stover.
Donald retired in 1997 from PW Chamberlin Hay and Straw, Leipsic as a truck driver. He was also on the Ottawa Police Department and EMS. Don was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Blue Knights Findlay Chapter XIX and a social member of the Ottawa VFW. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 15, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will be at a late date in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service at 7:50 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the funeral Monday.
