Doris A. Ellerbrock R.N.
OTTAWA – Doris A. Ellerbrock R.N., 83, of Ottawa died at 8:25 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born February 11, 1937 in Delphos to the late Edgar and Adeline (Utrup) Pohlman. On November 5, 1960 she married Harold C. Ellerbrock who survives in Ottawa.
She is survived by her children: Dan Ellerbrock of Ottawa, Tony (Laura) Ellerbrock of Starr, South Carolina, Ted (Kelly) Ellerbrock of Glandorf, Mary (Marv Schwiebert) Ricker of Ottawa; nine grandchildren: Nick (Taylor) Ellerbrock, Michael (Sarah Hiner) Ellerbrock, Drew (Jessie) Ellerbrock, Shea Ellerbrock, Casey Ellerbrock, Marissa Ellerbrock, Kayla (Andrew) Smith, Brooke (Jeff) Recker, and Zack Ricker; five great-grandchildren: Brayen Smith, Avery Smith, Alaina Recker, Lillian Recker and Grayson Ellerbrock.
Doris was a graduate of Delphos St. John High School and St. Rita's School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for Putnam Acres, Hilty Memorial Home, and Putnam County Homecare and Hospice. She was Putnam County Nurse of Hope 1984-1985. Doris was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church as well as the Companions of the Missionaries of the Society of the Precious Blood. She was a Minister of Praise and a Eucharistic Minister. She volunteered at St. Rita's Hospital and Putnam County Homecare and Hospice. Doris was very proud to be a farm wife and loved her children dearly.
Funeral mass will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Thursday visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mass will be live-streamed through the church’s Facebook page. Due to regulations regarding COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, masks are required upon entering the church and/or funeral home.
