Doris Liebrecht

  GLANDORF – Doris Liebrecht, 90 of Glandorf died 6:14 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 at her residence.  She was born August 1, 1932 in Glandorf to the late John and Mary (Rosenbauer) Hermiller.  On June 13, 1953, she married Cleo Liebrecht and he survives in Glandorf.  They had a very special bond during their 69 ½ years of marriage.

  Other survivors include four children: Judy (Barry) Falk of Harpster, Sharon (Thomas) Damon of Van Buren, Randy Liebrecht of Elida and Brad (Irene) Liebrecht of Long Beach, CA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers: Lavern (Marg) Hermiller, Arthur (Roni) Hermiller,  John (Mary Ann) Hermiller; three sisters: Florence Schroeder, Margaret Schimmoeller and Donna Utrup; and four sisters-in-law: Mary Hermiller, Louann Hermiller, Ruth Hermiller, and Bertha Hermiller. 

  She is also preceded in death by five brothers: Dennis Hermiller, Wilfred (Ruth) Hermiller, Richard Hermiller, Carl Hermiller and Harold Hermiller; four sisters: Joyce Hermiller, Mary Ann Hermiller, Genevieve (Henry) Rosengarten and Delores (Arthur) Schimmoeller; four brothers-in-law: Thad Schroeder, Felix Fenbert, Adrian Utrup and Kenneth Schimmoeller; and two sisters-in-law, Dee Hermiller, Alice Hermiller.

  Doris was a homemaker and had worked at Philips Display Components in Ottawa.  She was a hard-working person who loved to clean.  She had also been a Girl Scout leader.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Altar Rosary Society.  Doris was very close to her twin sister, Deloris and loved her pet dogs.  She loved polka dancing, playing cards and going to her grandchildren’s basketball games.  She sewed the best buttonholes and zippers and will always be remembered for her Christmas noodles, holiday games and chicken.

  Funeral mass will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday and one hour prior to the mass Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
