Dr. Alicia M. Borer, OD

We lost our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend Monday, April 18th, 2022. Alicia, or Ali as we called her, is survived by her parents Mike and Louann Borer, sister Amanda Borer (Alex Williams), and brother Adam (Erica) Borer “her girl” Charlie, and her new best buddy Leo, her niece and nephew. She was a tremendous lover of dogs, and we are thankful that her Australian Shepard Skyla survived the accident, she is receiving as much love as we can give her.

Ali and her mom were especially close talking every day no matter where they found themselves.

Ali was blessed to have a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins to share laughter, travel and a beverage with.

She was a lake girl and loved nothing more than a weekend boating with us at Lake James. Ali loved spending time with all of her lake friends at the sand bar. She loved listening to her favorite lake bands, Hubie Ashcraft, and Island Vibe, who befriended her as she befriended them.

Ali accomplished nearly everything she set out to do. She became an Optometrist, attending the OSU College of Optometry where she graduated with honors. She loved being a Buckeye, loved caring for her patients and loved what she did. We are all so proud of her.

Ali was fearless, adventurous, and loved to travel. She traveled to Italy, New Zealand, and on an Optometry mission trip to Ghana, among others. Ali had so much more of the world she planned to conquer, it is our great regret she will never get that chance.

She had so many friends, but Brandi was always her homegirl, and we are all especially thankful for her friendship.

She leaves the world, for us, a much sadder and lonelier place.  We love you Ali, and always will. You will forever remain in our hearts.

Love, Mom, Dad, Mandi, Alex, Leo, Adam, Erica and of course Charlie.
