Eileen A. Wagner

  MILLER CITY-Eileen A. Wagner, 87, of Miller City died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Meadows of Delphos.  She was born July 30, 1933 in Miller City to the late Clarence and Clara (Pitson) Alt.  On May 16, 1953, she married Melvin M. Wagner, he preceded her in death on February 25, 2017.

  Eileen is survived by five children: Richard (Debra) Wagner of Deshler, Pamela (Bob) Tobe of Ottawa, Linda Nelson of Napoleon, Scott (Kim) Wagner and Valerie (Pat) Verhoff, both of Miller City; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; sisters: Jean Schroeder of Hudson, MI., Patty Inkrott of Leipsic; a brother: Don (Dolores) Alt of Ottawa; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Alt of Florida, and Donna Alt of Arizona.

  She is preceded in death by a sister: Rita (Chuck) Erford, brothers: Bob and George Alt; brothers-in-law: Paul Schroeder and Ambrose Inkrott.

  Eileen was a graduate of Miller City High School. She worked for 20 years at Campbell's Soup.   She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and the Altar Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, she loved morning coffee club and line dancing.  Eileen volunteered at various nursing homes.  She and Melvin were snowbirds in Florida for many years.  Eileen loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Msgr. Charles Singler officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, North Creek.  In keeping with the social distancing guidelines a visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Masks will be required upon entering the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking that everyone to do an act of kindness.
