Elizabeth C. Corbitt
FINDLAY – Elizabeth C. Corbitt of Findlay, formerly of Continental died at 2:37 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2020 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born March 24, 1937 in Cuba, OH to the late William and Elizabeth (Konerding) Bellmann. On October 16, 1954 she married Carl F. Corbitt who passed away December 11, 2017.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Corbitt of Findlay; two grandchildren, Jordan Corbitt of Tulsa, OK and Tyler (Stacy) Corbitt of Dayton; a great-grandchild, Jayla Corbitt; two sisters, Mary Ordway of North Creek and Juanita Tonkel of Camden, MI; 2 sisters-in-law, Leona Bellmann of Delphos and Rita Bellmann of Cloverdale; and her yorkie, Heidi. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda (Paul) Cleemput and Clara (Jim) Wagner Dockett; and three brothers, Bill, Bernard and Johnny Bellmann.
Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental. She was also a member of Ottawa American Legion and Ottawa Eagles Ladies Auxiliaries and the Findlay Moose Club. Elizabeth loved animals, especially dogs.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in St. Isidore Cemetery, Cuba, OH. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and from 9:30 a.m. until mass time at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
