Eugene C. Kuhlman
LEIPSIC - Eugene C. "Gene" Kuhlman, 77, of Leipsic, died 7:03 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2020 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born November 7, 1942 in Leipsic to the late Victor and Mary (Hermiller) Kuhlman. On April 25, 1964 he married Sharon A. Elchinger, she preceded him in death on August 3, 2013.
Gene was very proud of his daughters: Lisa Ann Kuhlman of Avon and Gina Ann Kuhlman of Cleveland Heights; a son-in-law: Rob (Christine) Salisbury of Ottawa; seven grandchildren: Christina Negray, Gianna Kuhlman Miller, Isaac Salisbury, Tyson Salisbury, Emily Payer, Joey Payer and Kyle Payer; sisters-in-law: Margie Noirot of Wauseon and June Rose of Ft. Wayne, IN; a brother-in-law: Ken (Paula) Elchinger of Glandorf; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie Salisbury; and a brother-in-law, Steve Noirot.
Gene retired from the former Ennis of Leipsic after 50 years, he was also a farmer. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, where he was in the choir. He was a former School Board member and enjoyed tending to his yard. Gene loved helping people and was widely respected.
Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. James Morman officiating. However a live streaming of the service will be on St. Mary Facebook page. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to mass on Friday at the Parish Life Center. For the safety of yourself and others wearing a mask is encouraged.
