Gary L. Lloyd

  DEFIANCE – Gary L. Lloyd, 63, of Defiance, died at 11:21 a.m., Monday, May 30, 2022, at his residence. He was born August 22, 1958, in Defiance to the late Gaylon and Mabel (Jacques) Lloyd. On July 16, 1977, he married Monica Weible and she survives in Defiance.

  Other survivors include a son, Steve (Jill) Lloyd of Continental; two grandchildren: Amya and Owen Lloyd; and two siblings: Wanda Schwader and Dar (Darlene) Lloyd, both of Defiance.

  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Chiow.

  Gary was self-employed and owned G.L. Lloyd Earth Moving Company. He was a member of the Continental Conservation Club and Sons of the American Legion, Continental. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He loved spending time with his son, grandchildren and daughter-in-law. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events.

  A visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.  A celebration of life will be held following at the Continental Conservation Club at 7 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided, and friends and family are welcome to attend. Burial will be at a later date at Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
