Glenn L. “Red” Deters

   GLANDORF -   Glenn L. “Red” Deters, 85 of Glandorf died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. He was born August 8, 1934 in Lima to the late Henry and Helen (Lammers) Deters. On June 22, 1955 he married Patricia Recker who survives in Glandorf.

    Also surviving are 5 children, Tim (Jackie) Deters of Ottawa, Debra (Bill) Shealy of Greensboro, NC, Ann (Tom) Meyer of Leipsic, Lisa (Dave) Todd of Findlay, and Tom (Allison) Deters of Falls Church, VA; 15 grandchildren, Matt Deters, Stacy Deters, Alex Najdecki, Kas Shealy, Thomas Shealy, Brent Buckland, Kristen Buckland, Jeff Meyer, Brian Meyer, Craig Meyer, Haley Todd, Leah Todd, Dan Todd, Grahame Deters, Paul Deters; 1 great-grandchild, Susanne Meyer; a brother, Gene Deters of Kalida; and 2 sisters, Mary Ellen (Don) Schmenk of Ottawa and Sue (Tom) Klima of Ottoville. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Buckland and a grandson, Ben Deters.

   Red retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima after 41 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, Glandorf Rod and Gun Club, and the Ottawa Eagles. He was a 41 year member of the UAW and had been a member of the Glandorf Fire Department.

   A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.

   Memorials may be made to EWTN Catholic Radio Station, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL.
