Gregory S. Frey

  OTTAWA – Gregory S. Frey, 52, of Ottawa, passed away at 2:03 a.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Mercy Health Putnam Medical Center, Glandorf.  He was born September 25, 1970, in Lima to Robert and Phyllis (Kaufman) Frey III, who survive in Ottawa.

  He is also survived by four children: Taylor (Cody) Dukes, Kaydree Frey, Brandon Frey, and Kadon Frey, all of Ottawa; a granddaughter:  Avery Dukes; a sister: Deana (Scott) Salsburey of Ottawa; and a brother: Robert (Tammy) Frey IV of McComb; and several nieces and a nephew.

  Greg was a 1988 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School. He worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima.  His family meant the world to him.  He enjoyed going to their activities and sporting events.  Greg was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.  Greg attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.

  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and again from 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday.
