Gregory R. Inkrott
FORT JENNINGS – Gregory R. Inkrott, 86, of Fort Jennings, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at The Meadows of Kalida. He was born November 17, 1935, in New Cleveland to the late Aloysius and Eleonora (Hohenbrink) Inkrott. On June 1, 1957, he married Loretta Gerker, who preceded him in death on June 27, 2004.
Survivors include six children: Mike (Kim) Inkrott, Ron (Christy) Inkrott, Anthony (Vicki) Inkrott, Dennis (Cindy) Inkrott, Karen (Dave) Young and Dr. Linda (Derrick) Fox; 15 grandchildren: Stephanie (Travis) Sutton, Lindsey (John) Hetrick, Christy Inkrott, Matthew Inkrott, Dan (Jessica) Inkrott, Mark (Emily) Inkrott, Luke (Maggie) Inkrott, Brittany Inkrott, Amanda Young, Jacob Young, Jessica Young, Mason Fox, Ethan Fox, Jack Fox and Sophia Fox; 17 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, William Maziers; a brother, Paul (Carole) Inkrott; a brother-in-law, Norbert Schroeder; and a sister-in-law, Patty Inkrott.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Maziers; and five siblings: Evelyn Halbeisen, Bernadine Nienberg, Ambrose Inkrott, Julie Spring and Agnes Schroeder.
Gregory retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima in 2000 after working 43 years. He was a lifelong farmer, a proud Ford owner, a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, and an Ottawa Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Knight. He loved spending time at the Delphos Eagles and having coffee with the cousins. He especially loved spending time with his family.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fort Jennings with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and again on Tuesday one hour prior to the mass at the church.
