Helen L. Place

  OVIEDO FL - Helen L. Place, 99 of Oviedo, FL, formerly of Leipsic, OH died 2:47 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Lutheran Haven in Oviedo, FL.  She was born February 4, 1920 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Hartford L. and Eva C. (Paul) Hayzlett.  On November 21, 1940, she married Donald Place.  He died May 2, 2005. 

  Survivors include a daughter, Paula (Neil) Montooth of Oviedo, FL; a granddaughter, Carla (Craig) Siciliani of Orlando, FL; and a great-granddaughter, Lorelei Siciliani.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hayzlett; and two sisters: Florence Hartley and Ruth Schey.

  Helen was a homemaker and had worked at the movie theater in Leipsic and then the tank plant in Lima during the war. She was a life member of First Lutheran Church in Leipsic where she was involved with the Lutheran Women.  She enjoyed gardening and following school and band activities of her daughter during high school years.

  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2019 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Hauenstein officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home. 

  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
