Imogene Cecelia Luttfring
OTTAWA - Imogene Cecelia Luttfring, 94, of Ottawa died 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born September 15, 1926 in Putnam County to the late Wesley and Catherine (Eberle) Lammers. On August 30, 1947, she married William Luttfring, Jr. whom she loved dearly. He died April 25, 1991.
Survivors include six children: Janice (John) Kosko of Germantown, MD, Michael (Linda Drerup) Luttfring of Ottawa, Robert (Jackie) Luttfring of Ottawa, Julie (Rick) Pothast of Ottawa, Rich (Cindy) Luttfring of Apopka, FL and Alan Luttfring of Pandora; daughter-in-law, Velma Luttfring of Ottawa; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a son, David Luttfring; eleven siblings: Florence Bowker, Raymond Lammers, Loretta Wiener, Blanche Plantz, Esther Kern, Edith Gosciniak, Mildred Fletcher, Charles Lammers, Agnes Posturn, Clara Claxton and Donald Lammers.
Imogene was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at the Black Angus. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Putnam County Right to Life. Family was her life and she loved spending time with them. Imogene was an excellent baker and loved the ocean.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In keeping within the guidelines of social distancing, visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service at 7:50 p.m. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home and/or the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Home Health and Hospice or Sts. Peter and Paul Endowment Fund.
