James A. Alvarado
CONTINENTAL – James A. Alvarado, 56, of Continental, passed away at 11:55 a.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 22, 1967, in Bryan to Agapito “Pete” and Minnie (Hernandez) Alvarado. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Continental. On August 1, 1987, he married Dannette Dangler. She preceded him in death on July 1, 1993.
James is survived by his children: Brittany (Scott) Powers of Defiance, Leigh (Brant Gibson) Alvarado of Tiffin, Preston (Nikki) Alvarado of Florida, Deanna (Noah) Lee of Cridersville, Carrie (James) Branham of Oakwood and Matthew (Jennifer) Tuttobene of Spencerville; four grandchildren: JoAnne (Gage) Snider, Bekah (Devilan) McKean, Gavin Powers, Tristan Powers and one on the way in July, Amori James Lee; significant other, Allison Bibler and her children, Cody and Conner; and his brothers: David Alvarado of Marion, Johnny Alvarado and Robert (Christi) Alvarado, both of Continental.
James worked in production for Mars, Leipsic. He was a member of the Continental American Legion. James loved his family and was a proud "grandpaw.” He enjoyed hockey, golf, Michigan football, music, concerts, computers and spending time with his friends and family.
Funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Aaron Hopson officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and again on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
