Jeanette Broecker
FORT JENNINGS – Jeanette Broecker, 76, of Fort Jennings passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1945 in New Bavaria to the late Wilfred and Marcella (Birkemeier) Gerschutz. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Metzger. On April 27, 1968, she married James Broecker, he survives in Fort Jennings.
Jeanette is also survived by four daughters: Paula (Joe) Kobalka of Westerville, Shelly (Pat) Pruden of Middle Point, Shawn Heiing of Fort Jennings, and Sheri (Brad) Pugh of Pandora; eight grandchildren: Crystal (Aaron), Joe (Ashley), Ariel, Brice, Rylee, Dylan, Bryan, and Tyler; four great-grandchildren: Cailey, Brayden, Dillon, and Brendan; two sisters: Carolyn Bock of Westfield Center, Jane Askins of Defiance; and a brother: Greg Gerschutz of Beaufort, South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Gerschutz.
Jeanette retired from Lakeview Farms, Delphos where she worked in Accounts Receivable. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings. Jeanette really enjoyed her activities with Norma, Mary Jean, Ruth, Dorothy, Kay, and her lifetime friend Marcia. She loved her adventurous outings with her grandkids. Jeanette will always be remembered for her generous and giving heart.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and again on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church.
