Jeannette Zeisloft
OTTAWA (formerly of Leipsic) – Jeannette Zeisloft, 78, of Ottawa, formerly of Leipsic, died at 4:15 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born December 28, 1944, in Defiance to the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Olga (Junge) Schwiebert. On December 18, 1964, she married Dwight Zeisloft, who survives in Ottawa.
Survivors include two children: Michelle (Derrick) Rehbein of Findlay and Don (Lori) Zeisloft of Stow; one step-granddaughter, Courtney Rehbein; two brothers: Howard (Deb) Schwiebert of Tuscan, AZ and Robert Schwiebert of McClure; one sister-in-law, Cheryl Schwiebert of Hamler; and Marvin Schwiebert’s fiancé, Mary Ricker of Ottawa.
She was also preceded in death by five siblings: Marvin Schwiebert, James Schwiebert, Ronald Schwiebert, Jalaine Mehring and Lucille Schwiebert.
Jeannette was a 1962 graduate of Hamler High School. She retired from Frost Insurance Agency, Leipsic, where she was an insurance agent and branch manager. She had also worked for Fawcett Insurance Agency from 1986-1995 and West Leipsic as the clerk/treasurer from 1995-2007. She was a member of Gilboa United Methodist Church. Jeannette enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting and loved spending the holidays with her family.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Leipsic United Methodist Church with Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2023, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and again on Tuesday one hour prior to service at the church.
