John A. Ehlers

 LEIPSIC – John A. Ehlers, 76, of Leipsic, died at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.  He was born May 5, 1945 in Henry County to the late Wilhelm and Dora (Witham) Ehlers.  On July 25, 1970, he married Eileen Knapke.  She survives in Leipsic.

  John is also survived by two children: Timothy (Rose Ann) Ehlers of Ottawa and Patrick (Deb) Ehlers of Leipsic; five grandchildren: Kimberly, Joseph, Phillip, Danica, and Riley.

 John retired from Philips, formerly of Ottawa in 2000.  He was a member of the Philips Quarter Century Club.  He loved Ohio State Football and the Dallas Cowboys.  John enjoyed fishing and listening to his country music.  He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

  Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Father Steve Schroeder officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
