John Langhals, Jr.

 GLANDORF - John Langhals Jr., 77, of Glandorf, passed away at 8:31 p.m., on Wednesday November 8, 2023, at his residence in the company of his family. He was born on October 11, 1946, in Lima Ohio to the late John and Clara (Schroeder) Langhals. 

  Survivors include his children:  Ben Langhals (Randy Abutin) of Waltham, Massachusetts, Matt Langhals of Glandorf, Ohio, and Sarah (Jason Nicol) of Johnstown, Ohio; three grandchildren:  Aden Fisher, Jackson Nicol, and Gavin Nicol; his siblings:  Dory Schumaker of Columbus Grove Ohio, Agnes (Herb) Schumaker of The Villages, Florida, Sam (Rene) Langhals of Ottawa, Ohio,  Bede (Jerry) Agner of Marion, Ohio, Mark (Phyl) Langhals of Alva, Florida, Karen (Dan) Wander of Worthington Ohio, Phyllis (Steve) Croy of Houston, Texas, Theresa (Dale) Rosengarten of Glandorf, Ohio, Mick (Pam) Langhals of Ottawa, Ohio, Pat (Joanie) Langhals of Glandorf, Ohio, and Martin (Lois) Langhals of Lima, Ohio; and in-laws: Joan Langhals of Glandorf, Judy Gerding ot Ottawa and Deb Langhals of Glandorf. 

  He was preceded in death by his brothers Nick (Rose) Langhals, Bob Langhals, Virgil Langhals, and Dan Langhals. 

  John was a retired truck driver and farmer.  He was a US Army Veteran.  He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for canoeing. John enjoyed researching history and science, reading, sudoku puzzles and had a special sweet tooth for his sister Dory’s cookies. 

  A Celebration of Life will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Ottawa VFW with dinner and drinks.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Putnam County Hospice.
