John T. Wurth

  OTTAWA – John T. Wurth, 67, of Ottawa, passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center.  He was born January 24, 1956, in Lima to the late Louis and Mary Ann (Ruhe) Wurth.

  John is survived by five siblings: Karen (Phil) Bauer of Versailles, KY, Paul (Mary Leigh) Wurth of Perrysburg, Edwin Wurth, Kenneth Wurth and Andrew Wurth, all of Glandorf; seven nieces and nephews; a horse, Drifter and beloved dog, Maggie.

  John worked in Auto Body Repair. He was an outdoorsman and loved animals, especially dogs, and horses. He was a free spirit and lived in many places such as: Arizona, Alaska, Colorado and Texas.   

  John’s family wishes to express their gratitude to The Meadows of Ottawa staff and all who cared for John.

  Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023 and one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
