Karen Sue Klima
OTTOVILLE – Karen Sue Klima, 75, of Ottoville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at her residence. She was born July 1, 1946, in Lima to the late Henry and Helen (Lammers) Deters. On September 17, 1966, she married Thomas Klima, he survives in Ottoville.
Sue is also survived by two daughters: Kay (Mark) Cavinder of Van Wert, and Kris (Patrick) Wright of Huntersville, NC; her beloved grandchildren: Brittany, Aaron, and Carrington; a brother: Gene Deters of Kalida; a sister: Mary Schmenk of Ottawa; a sister-in-law: Patty Deters of Glandorf; and her beloved cats: Winston, Winnie, and Goldie.
She is preceded in death by a brother: Glenn Deters; a sister-in-law: Doris Deters; and a brother-in-law: Don Schmenk.
Sue retired from Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, where she had worked as an LPN for 47 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Sue loved her husband, daughters, and grandchildren very much. She enjoyed attending different family gatherings, sporting events, luncheons, and parties with her nurse friends. Sue was a very dedicated nurse and an avid Facebook follower. Most of all she loved animals and being around her beloved cats Winston, Winnie, and Goldie. She will be missed immensely by her family and friends.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Father John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
