Larry Rosenberger

   OTTAWA-Larry Rosenberger, 72, of Ottawa died 11:28 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.  He was born March 3, 1949 in Bluffton to the late Howard and Velma (Perkey) Rosenberger.  On November 8, 1991 he married Susan Coe, who survives in Ottawa.  Just last Monday, November 8th, 2021, He and Susan renewed their wedding vows for their 30th Anniversary.

   Larry and Susan have one daughter, Leeza Rosenberger of Lucky, OH and her boyfriend J. J. Snyder.  Larry had 4 children from a previous marriage:  Angie Klausing of Ottawa, Amee (Lyle) Croy of Ottawa, Laurie (Ryan) Miller of Glandorf  Lee J. (Stephanie) Rosenberger of Findlay.  Together they gave him 11 grandchildren:  Drake Klausing, Tessa Klausing, Alexis Chavez, Josh Croy, Gracie Croy, Madisyn McCrate, Ethan McCrate, Aiden Miller, Mikaela, Cora and Preston Rosenberger. as well as a great-grandson:  Grayson.  He is survived by a brother:  Richard (Judy) Rosenberger of Clarkston, MI; a step-son:  Dale Spahr, II of Ottawa and 5 step-grandchildren:  Adrian, Alix, Dakota, Dustilyn and Cami Spahr.

   He is preceded in death by a sister:  Connie Rosenberger.

   Larry and his dad owned the Sohio Gas Station in Ottawa.  After his dad’s death, Larry took over the station until it closed in 1989.  He then worked at a used car lot in Columbus Grove as a mechanic.  In 1993, Larry went to truck driving school to become a professional truck driver.  He drove for various trucking companions where he earned the "million miles driven” award.

   He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.  Larry was an avid University of Michigan Football fan.  GO BLUE! 

   Larry was very proud of his children and grandchildren.  Many of them have chosen the medical field for their careers.  It is because of them, he has made the decision to donate his body to the University of Toledo Medical Center, so future medical students can continue to grow and learn. It was his way of thanking the many medical professionals that have cared for him through his many years of illness.

   Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where there will be a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Tomas Pistora officitating.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice or to members of the Rosenberger family for Larry’s medical expenses.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
