Lois M. Schroeder

  NEW CLEVELAND – Lois M. Schroeder, 64, of New Cleveland died 10:07 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022, at Mercy Health Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf.  She was born November 21, 1957, in Lima to the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Kleman) Riepenhoff.  On November 10, 1978, she married Marvin Schroeder and he survives in New Cleveland.

  Other survivors include three children: Melissa (Jason) Litke of Jamestown, Erin (Frank) Savukinas of Findlay and Lucas (Elizabeth) Schroeder of Ottawa; six grandchildren: Hannah Litke, Isaac Litke, Elizabeth Savukinas, Adelyn Savukinas, Amelia Savukinas and Isla Savukinas; and siblings: Eugene Riepenhoff of Miller City, Joe (Becky) Riepenhoff and Gilbert (Julie) Riepenhoff both of Glandorf and Lisa (Mike) O’Doherty of Fredericksburg, VA.

  She was also preceded in death by a son, Kyle Schroeder and a sister, Elaine (Mike) Schimmoeller.

  Lois retired in 2019 as mail carrier for the Ottawa Post Office.  She was a member of St. Nicholas-Holy Family Catholic Church, and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Altar Rosary and was Eucharistic Minister and Lector.  She enjoyed crocheting, making cards to remember special occasions, traveling, especially to all of the Ohio Barns.  Lois loved her family especially spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

  Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2022, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Scott Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

  Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
