Luella May Kosch
CONTINENTAL – Luella May Kosch, 91, of Continental died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at The Meadows of Kalida, surrounded in the loving care of her family.
She was born March 15, 1931, in Defiance to the late Rillman and Ida (Bowsher) Carnahan. On July 22, 1950, she married Walter Joe Kosch who preceded her in death October 3, 2010.
Survived by her 4 sons: Joseph Ken (Betty) Kosch of Kalida, Michael E. (Marge) Kosch of North Creek, Jeffrey L. (Shelly) Kosch of Dupont and Brian K. (Karen) Kosch of Continental, daughter-in-law, Jan Kosch of Oakwood, and son-in-law Carroll Brown of Continental; sister, Lillian Bruns of Napoleon; brother-in-law, Robert Kosch of New Breman. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her son, Walter J. (Walt) Kosch, her daughter, Gloria A Brown, her brother, Harold A Carnahan, her sister and brother in-law, Viola Jean and Jim Goings, her granddaughter, Wesley J. Kosch, and her brother-in-law, Ronnie Bruns; Walter’s siblings: Harry (Fairy) Kosch, Leonard (Mildred) Kosch, Harold (Joy) Kosch, Franklin (Pauline) Kosch, Helen (Mark) Bott, Gerry (Louis) Fowler, Viva (Dick) Arrington, Mary (Jack) Radabaugh.
Luella retired from Paradise Oaks Nursing Home. She attended Dupont Church of the Brethren. She loved time spent with all of her family. Joe and Luella enjoyed traveling, the Grand Ole Opry and her car automatically stopped at garage sales. She shared many beautiful gifts that she crocheted for family and friends over the years.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Dupont Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jeff Rhees officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be held 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the church. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank The Meadows of Kalida staff for the care they provided our Mom. Your care and compassion were truly a blessing to Mom and our family.
