Margaret Joan Lammers
MILLER CITY - Margaret Joan Lammers, 89, of Miller City, died 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 7, 1932 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Dwight Ewing and Mary (Baer) Harden. On May 21, 1955, she married Eugene "Gene" Lammers, who survives in Miller City.
Margaret is survived by five children: Mary Jean (Jim) Kleingers of Middletown, Steve (Carmella) Lammers of Tipp City, Linda (Roger) Schroeder of New Cleveland, John (Heidi) Lammers of Londonderry, NH and Anne (Brent) Schmenk of Frisco, TX; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister and brother: Dolores " Dottie" Hindall of Findlay and Charles "Chuck" Harden of North Baltimore; and a sister-in-law: Marlene Harden of McComb.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Jack Harden; a brother-in-law: Ted Hindall; and a sister-in-law: Sandy Harden.
Margaret went back to receive her accounting degree after raising her children. She then went on to become an accountant for Sash and Storm in Lima. She was also a former bookkeeper at Sylvania and International Brake Industries, Lima. Margaret was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. She loved photography, quilting, traveling to Hocking Hills and spending time with family. Her family was her top priority.
Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Father Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. at LOVE -HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. They will also have a visitation on Monday, one hour prior to the Mass at church.
Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
