Marilynne Meyer
OTTAWA -- Marilynne Meyer, 88, of Ottawa died 8:05 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born September 21, 1930 in Lima to the late Oscar and Monica (Hunchberger) Finster. On June 13, 1953 she married Charles U. Meyer, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2010.
She is survived by 4 children: Deb (Dan) Covey of Springboro, Tom (Laurie) Meyer of Ottawa, Lauri (Al) Inkrott of Alexandria, Kentucky and Jeff (Amanda) Meyer, of Ottawa; 11 grandchildren: Zach Covey, Nic (Meghan) Covey, Alison (Lee) Taylor, Mitch Inkrott, Ben Inkrott, Cheyenne Meyer, Megan Meyer, Cody Meyer, Luke Meyer, Jenny Meyer and Hannah Meyer; 6 Great-grandchildren: Maxwell Covey, Nina Covey, Matthew Covey, Claire Taylor, Frances Taylor and Bentley Meyer.
Marilynne is preceded in death by a daughter Mary Beth Meyer and a sister Ruth (George) Schroeder.
Marilynne was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and it's Altar Rosary Society. She was a graduate of Sts. Peter and Paul High School and Marygrove College, Detroit, MI. She was a devoted teacher throughout the years and retired from Ottawa Public Schools. She was a member of Friends of the Library and had worked in the office at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a rosary service will be held at 7:50 p.m.
