Marlene P. Verhoff
KALIDA – Marlene P. Verhoff, 78 of Kalida died 4:15 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born March 17, 1943 in Leipsic to the late Theodore and Hedwig (Lammers) Haselman. On September 29, 1962, she married Lavern F. Verhoff who survives in Kalida.
Other survivors include five children: Tina Verhoff of Lima, Gary L. (Denise) Verhoff, Lisa A. Verhoff, Mark F. “Vern” Verhoff and Marcia (Kevin) Kaufman all of Kalida; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; three siblings: Ronald (Edna) Haselman of Leipsic, Dennis (Linda) Haselman of Swanton and Mary (Bob A.) Schroeder of Leipsic; and two sisters-in-law: Kathy Haselman of Ottawa and Grace Haselman of Kailda.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Stan, Larry and infant Gary.
Marlene was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church Kalida and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Kalida Band Boosters. Marlene was a super grandparent and loved to watch her grandchildren play in all of their sporting events.
Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp. where a scripture service will begin at 1:45 p.m.
