Martha S. (Pena) Gutierrez

  LEIPSIC – Martha S. (Pena) Gutierrez, 59, of Leipsic, passed away at 4:13 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.  She was born December 22, 1962 in Reynosa, Mexico to the late Manuel and Bertha (Briseno) Pena. She previously married Salvador Delgado, who preceded her in death.  She then married Martin Gutierrez, who survives in Belmore.

  Other survivors include seven children: Reyes (Elena) Delgado of Cibolo, TX, Rachel Saenz of Shertz, TX, Rebecca (Juan) Gonzalez of Cibolo, TX, Regina Patlan of Austin, TX, Juan (Adriana) Pena, Maria (Victor) Herrera and Salvador (Aleasha) Delgado, all of Leipsic; 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and seven siblings: Clara Pena of Leipsic, Elena Renteria of Pharr, TX, Victor Pena of Leipsic, Manuel Pena of Pharr, TX, Jose Pena of McAllen, TX, David Pena of Edinburg, TX and Ricardo Pena of Edinburg, TX.

  Martha was a homemaker who loved to cook, travel, play bingo and have big parties with her family.

  Funeral Mass will begin 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Stephen Schroeder and Deacon Ben Valdez officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
