Mercedes L. Cox

 FORT JENNINGS - Mercedes L. Cox, 25, of Fort Jennings died 7:32 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her parent's residence.  She was born May 31, 1995 in Lima to Jody and Melinda (Garberson) Cox, they survive in Miller City .

 Mercedes is also survived by her son: Braxton Cox; a special friend: Jason Mueller of Fort Jennings;  brothers: Michael (Faith Butler) Cox, Marcus Cox; a sister: Maria Cox all of Miller City; paternal grandmother: Dorthea Cox and maternal grandmother: Janet Garberson, both of Ottawa; dogs: Rocky, Scarlett and Oden;  several aunts, uncles and cousins.

 She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather: John Cox and maternal grandfather: Keith Garberson.

 Mercedes volunteered with Challenged Champions.  She was always available to help out her family.  Mercedes was a great mom, daughter and sister.

  Funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Msgr. Charles Singler officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Kalida.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service at 2:45 p.m.  Due to the restrictions regarding COVID 19, masks are required upon entering the funeral home and/or church.

 Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
