Michael T. “Haney” Hoehn
OTTOVILLE - Michael T. “Haney” Hoehn, 59, of Ottoville died at 4:28 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born October 7, 1961 in Lima to Walter and Agnes (Hanneman) Hoehn, his mother is deceased, his father survives in Lima.
Haney is also survived by his siblings: Tim (Chris) Hoehn of Glandorf, Mary Beggs of Lima, Steve (Cathy) Hoehn of Ottoville, Diane (Terry) Lee of Lima, Ed (Marcy) Hoehn of Ottoville, Linda (Randy) Schroeder of Mason, MI., and Ruth (Terry) Wannemacher of Ottoville; nineteen nieces and nephews; and his step-mother: Colene Toinette Hoehn.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Agnes, when he was very young.
Haney was a 1980 graduate of Ottoville High School. He was well known for his “Haney Fries” that he would make at the campground with his camping buddies, as well as selling them for fundraisers, which included St. Jude’s and the Ottoville Church Festival. Haney was a lifelong farmer and had worked at Miller Precision in Ottoville for 25 years. He loved to cook and make creative treats for his family and friends. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Father Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville. In keeping with the social distancing guidelines a visitation will be held on Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home and church.
