Neil Robert Schnipke
FINDLAY – Neil Robert Schnipke, 36, of Findlay died 1:04 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2022 at his residence. He fought hard until the end, battling cholangiocarcinoma for more than a year. He was born May 7, 1986, in Lima to Norman V. and Sandra A. (Knott) Schnipke, who survive in Kalida. On July 31, 2010, he married Stephanie Lynn Pahl, who survives in Findlay.
Also surviving are 4 children: Evelynn Corrine, Eleanora Leann, Aleksander Pahl and Amelia Nelle Schnipke, all at home; a sister: Rhonda K. Schnipke of Eastlake; 2 brothers: Ryan N. (Amy) Schnipke of Kalida and Dean J. (Alaina) Schnipke of Greenville, SC; mother-in-law: Carol Pahl of Carey; and 2 brothers-in-law: Ehret (Melissa) Pahl and Curtis (Heather) Pahl, both of Carey.
Neil was preceded in death by a godchild, Olivia Ryan Schnipke; grandparents: Wilfrid and Rosalia Schnipke and Norman and Dorothy Knott; aunt, Janice Knott; uncle, Kenneth Knott; and father-in-law, Donald Pahl.
Neil was an Electrical Engineer for B-K Tool & Design, Kalida and was a member of St. Michael the Arc Angel Catholic Church, Findlay. He was a 2004 graduate of Kalida High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and acquiring Nintendo collectibles. In recent years, he coached his daughters, and their youth soccer teams at Liberty Benton.
The funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Father Nathan Bockrath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where a scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
