Norbert C. Ellerbrock
OTTAWA - Norbert C. Ellerbrock, 82, of Ottawa died at 11:46 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born May 9, 1936 in Cloverdale to the late Harold and Martha (Meyer) Ellerbrock. On November 15, 1969 he married Gloria Martin who survives in Ottawa.
He is also survived by four children, Joan (Mark) Lovin of San Antonio, TX, James (Claudia) Ellerbrock of Columbus, Joseph (Renee) Ellerbrock of Columbus Grove, and Janet (Rohan) Neita of Coral Springs, FL.; five grandchildren, Mishelle Ellerbrock, Michael Ellerbrock, Sophie Ellerbrock, Keenan Neita, and Myles Neita; four step-grandchildren, Marc Lovin, Justice Lovin, Ryann Lovin, and Colton Lovin; two sisters, Mary Ann Erhart of Ottawa and Millie (Bill) Kroeger of Venadocia; a brother, Arthur (Mary Lou) Ellerbrock of Glandorf; and two sisters-in-law, Martha Ellerbrock of Columbus Grove and Joyce Ellerbrock of Ottawa. He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Luella (Donald) Dickman; two brothers, Elmer Ellerbrock and Ralph Ellerbrock; and a brother-in-law, Albert Erhart.
Norbert was a retired machinist from Philips Display Components, formerly of Ottawa and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Ottawa American Legion, and the Ottawa Knights of Columbus. Norbert was a very creative and proud machinist. He enjoyed collecting tools and working in the garage, but especially loved his grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW, and AM VETS. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a K of C Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 7:50 p.m.
