Paul J. Hoehn
OTTOVILLE – Paul J. Hoehn, 79 of Ottoville, passed away at 4:25 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born April 27, 1943 in Dearborn, MI to the late Eugene and Ruth Ann (Rieger) Hoehn. On July 25, 1964, he married Marilyn L. DeCamp, who survives in Ottoville.
Other survivors include two sons: Larry (Patricia) Hoehn of Burlison, TN and Steven (Chris) Hoehn of Ft. Jennings; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Rita Halker of Columbus Grove, Judy (Roger) Brickner and Doris (Joe) Siefker, both of Kalida.
He was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Kaiser Hug; two siblings: Jean Ann Hoehn and Robert (Janice) Hoehn; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Halker.
Paul retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima after 30 years of service. He was a US Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the Ottoville VFW Post #3740. Paul was also a former Ottoville councilman, Ottoville Little League coach and a retired firefighter of the Ottoville Fire Department. Paul was an avid Detroit Tigers, Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He loved hunting and fishing.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville with military rites by Ottoville VFW and Ft. Jennings American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
