Philip M. "Philbilly" Kahle
MIDDLE POINT - Philip M. "Philbilly" Kahle, 45, of Middle Point died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born August 7, 1975 in Lima to Michael C. and Lucy (Miller) Kahle. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Kalida.
Phil is survived by his loving daughter and best friend, Adelin Kahle, at home; a sister, Deb (Eric) Schroeder of Kalida; 3 brothers, Mark (Sara) Kahle of Convoy, Fr. Jason Kahle of Sylvania and Steven Kahle of Cloverdale; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Phil worked maintenance at PSI, Ottoville and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida. He loved motorcycles and customizing them and old cars.
Phil was the most loyal, orneriest, crazy and loving man there ever was; when you were his friend, you were his friend for life. He didn't have an enemy in the world and everyday was his ”best day ever”. His family and friends thought of him as their hero, and through organ and tissue donation, Phil will be a hero to many people in need. The entire world is going to miss him.
The funeral mass for Phil will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with his brother, Fr. Jason Kahle and Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where a scripture service will be held at 2 p.m. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required at the funeral home and church. Casual attire, Harley Davidson requested.
