Raymond D. “Ray” Maas
OTTAWA – Raymond D. “Ray” Maas, 62, of Ottawa, died 1:22 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Autumn Court, Ottawa. He was born January 8, 1960, in Detroit, MI to Norbert H. Maas and Jeannette (Maag) Busack. His father preceded him in death and his mother and stepfather, Paul “Bob” Busack survive in Ottawa.
Other survivors include three siblings: Rick (Dianne) Maas of Miller City, Linda (Robert) Nichols of Ottawa and Rodney (Patricia) Maas of Toledo; a sister-in-law: Alice Maas of Ottawa; seven stepbrothers; six stepsisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: David, Dennis and Steven Maas; and stepfather, Cornelius “Corny” Brinkman.
Ray worked for Brookhill Industries, Ottawa. He participated in Special Olympics for basketball and loved Elvis Presley and country music.
Funeral Mass will begin 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. prior to the mass.
Fellowship will follow the funeral in the church basement.
Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
