  RIMER - Rebecca Sue Goecke, 76, of Rimer, died 6:25 a.m., Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family.  She was born November 26, 1944 in Ottawa to the late Norman and Mary Jane (Rampe) Deters.  On July 24, 1965, she married Stephen R. Goecke and they later divorced.

  Survivors include three children: Brad (Andrea) Goecke of Columbus Grove, Todd (Elizabeth) Goecke of Sun City Center, FL and Matt (Nadene) Goecke of Columbus Grove; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five siblings: Norman "Bud" Deters of Pandora, Kathy (Norman) Fisher of Ft. Jennings, Linda (Kenny) Klass of Glandorf, Marilyn (Thomas) Sheidler of Cleveland and Steve (Valerie) Deters of Crawfordsville, IN.

  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ted Deters; and a sister, Jean Rosengarten.

  Rebecca retired from St. Rita's Hospital, Lima where she was a registered nurse and a member of St. Rita's Caring Committee. She was also a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church, Lima.

  A funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Gene Salsbury officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
