Rick Mangas

  OTTAWA – Rick Mangas, 59, of Ottawa, passed away at 9:31 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on September 29, 1962 in Lima to the late Kenneth and Janet (Reed) Mangas.  On June 29, 1981, he married Rebecca Felkey and they later separated. He then met his significant other, Sherry Miller, who survives in Ottawa.

  Other survivors include two children: Josh (Jessica) Mangas of Gilboa and Jeremy (Brieona Spears) Mangas of Leipsic; two stepchildren: Matt (Susan) Bryan of Leipsic and Shealynn (Travis Spencer) Mangas of Ottawa; seven grandchildren: Jaelyn Mangas, Josh Mangas, Nevaeha Mangas, Kendyll Mangas, Joscelin Mangas and Kayden Mangas; nine step-grandchildren: Grant Bryan, Gavin Bryan, Grace Bryan, Grady Bryan, Payton Shreves, Serenity Shreves, Brooklynn Shreves, A.J. Shreves and Maverick Spencer; five siblings: Roger (Grace) Mangas of Leipsic, Randy (Lori) Mangas of Leipsic, Peggy (Merced) Torres Jr. of Ottawa, Terry (Shari Rush) Mangas of Leipsic and Pam (Rusty) Trehan of Columbus Grove; and many nieces and nephews.

  Rick was a skilled mechanic for many years. He taught his boys his trade while working on go-karts, dirt bikes and cars. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family.

  A celebration of life will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Leipsic Eagles.

  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
